Planner’s Comments:
I was pleased everyone seemed to enjoy the variety of terrain that Dewsbury offered.
It was a surprise to me to find the large market building open and in full swing at 6.30 a.m. when it was advertised as being closed on Sundays. If I had known I would have mapped it as a canopy. My mistake was not to put the alteration as a map correction in the start line and I apologise for this. I think my brain was a bit addled this morning due to 3 boxes going missing and having to be replaced.
My thanks go to Jane, my wife, for assisting with the putting out of the 50 controls. I hope you appreciated the way they were placed for ease of dibbing.
Also my thanks go to Martyn Broadest for his support and words of wisdom as controller.
Finally thanks to the control collectors who made a long day easier for me. Having said that I left one of my batch out and had to return to Dewsbury this evening to recover it!
